With two degrees in design, I know all about usability, and will make sure that your site is user-friendly, with clear navigation and logical structure.
Optimised for Speed
Nobody likes waiting for a website to load, especially if you are on a slow internet connection. Your site will be built with the latest speed enhancements, that result in surprisingly fast load times, even if you have lots of photos.
Easy Editing
Your website will be built on WordPress, a user-friendly platform that now powers over 25% of the world’s websites. Powered by the Divi framework (visual page builder), editing your new website is incredibly quick and easy – just click and type on the page. Training is provided, and post-launch support is included.
Mobile Friendly
Did you know that more that half of website visits are now coming from mobile devices? Every website I produce is carefully built and tested to look great on all devices (using a feature called responsive display). Magically adjusting to different screen sizes, your website will always be easy for your readers to view from their smartphones, tablets and computers.
Google Friendly
While I focus on designing your website to delight your human audience, Google comes in at a close second. Your website will be built using SEO-friendly practices (Search Engine Optimisation), including an SEO plugin to help you achieve better search engine results. You will also get access to Google Analytics, so you can track your website visitors and learn more about how they are using your site.

I take a number of extra precautions to protect your website from hackers. Using the best security tools and most reliable safeguards helps keep your website safe and secure. Your website also comes with a complementary backup service. With 10 years experience as an IT specialist, your website is in safe hands with me.

Simple 5 step process
My goal is to make your life easier – during the web design process, and afterwards. Saving you time, money and headaches!
Don’t worry if it’s your first time working with a web designer, I can guide you along each step of the way.
We will work together using this simple 5 step process:
1: Getting Started
I will get back to you with a web design proposal – including recommendations, pricing and time estimates.
We can discuss this together, to determine which options make the most sense for your budget and business goals, and see if I am right person for the job. If I don’t believe that my services are a great fit, I will be honest about this and will do my best to refer you to a more appropriate solution.
2: Project Plan
Next, we look at everything that is needed for your project. You can have as much or as little creative input as you like.
It is important to get clear on what you would like to achieve with your new site before we begin, and make sure we have all the content required.
I will ask you for the following information:
- Your Logo (PDF, EPS or high res JPEG if possible)
- Brand colours, fonts and style
- Sitemap, showing menu structure for all pages
- Images, photos or videos that you would like to use in the new site
- Text for each page of the website
- Details for any special functionality (eg. online forms)
- Three examples of websites that you like
- Account details for your current website, including domain, hosting and wordpress login (if applicable)
Once I have everything needed, I can start working on the site.

3: The Design Process
The design work begins! Leave it with me. Don’t worry, I will check in with you regularly, to let you know how everything is going and get your feedback.
LAYOUT AND DESIGN
First, I’ll set up the core structure of your website (including framework, security features, plugins), and create a unique design based on your requirements. I will send you a sample of the homepage and sometimes an additional page (or more upon request) to make sure we are on the right track.
DEVELOPMENT
Once the site layout and design is approved, I’ll move forward with building all of the pages, functionality and responsive code, making sure your site looks great and functions nicely across all devices and web browsers.
REVISIONS AND EDITS
Complementary proof-reading is included. After the whole site is set up, you will be able to review each page and request changes before the site goes live. Two rounds of revisions are included – you can make more revisions after this, but they will incur additional charges.

4: Go Live
This is the exciting part! Once you give the final stamp of approval and the site is ready to go live, we will arrange a time to launch it. The new site will be fully backed up, should it ever need to be restored. Once live, please allow 24-48 hours for propagation to occur. Most computers will see the new site within a short time, however some computers may need to be refreshed, depending on the internet connection and settings. Now you can share it with your friends and customers, and start enjoying the benefits of your new website.
5: Moving Forward
I don’t want to leave you feeling stranded after the website launch. The software we use is very easy to learn – I can show you how it all works, and guide you through your options for moving forward. If you’d like to maintain the site on your own, I can provide training, resources and tips for marketing your new website. If you’d like help maintaining the site, I can offer a maintenance plan that fits your needs and takes care of ongoing updates, backups, security and performance.
